I have a female Indonesian Blue Tongue Skink and looking a male and possible a Australian Pink-Tongued skink. As far as information on the net I would try Melissa Kaplan's site www.anapsid.org/ On the left side of the site select lizards under the heading species, from there pick blue tongue skink. or there is another one that I think is pretty good site is www.bluetongueskinks.net/ those are two I would recommend right now. I feed her a couple of fuzzy a week along with either meal or wax worms and then greens, vegs, and her favorite peach baby food, she like fruits and I found that baby food is an easy solution on days that I'm short on time, but now she really has a taste for it and that is how she gets her fruit. I really have to laugh when I see her after digging into her baby food and then she looks up at ya with a dirty face. As far as how much, I really don't measure anything, I know my herps eating habits so well now that I just prepare thier food with out thinking about, I can tell the amount just by looking at it. I hope this helps a little. Good luck to ya. Matt

Hey kristin, with my skink I go 40% meat-60% fruit and vegs, In that 60% 30-40% greens and vegs, 10-20% fruit. I believe it has been working well with her. I'll get a pic posted as soon as she is done shedding.

Pinkies are VERY high in fat, and can ccarry diseases all to easily, for naturally obeast animals like beardies, it is not a good idea. It's okay to do that like once a month, but don't do it too often.

You are right they are high in fat, and you do have to watch their intake of them, one other you have to watch their intake on is wax worms they are also high in fat. Thats why I only do 40% meat, I guess I should have added that to my last message. Thanks for mentioning it Collin

Kristin, I use that 40% meat-60% vegs and leafy greens on all my beardies and my blue tongue skink. I don't know about the dog food thing, if it was me I wouldn't do it. I feed my beardies crickets every other day and fresh greens everyday, same with my skink meat and some crickets once a week maybe twice a week and fresh greens and vegs everyday. The planned I started with was from the www.bluetongueskink.net and then I just started working with the items till I found what works the best for my skink, she is very healthy and not over weight.
