Speaking of birds, we just got Jasper, a Mulucken thingyatoo, Her previous owner, I think, died and his wife didn't really want her. She sold her to us for only 1200 w/ cage and toys, so we got a hell of a deal and she, Jasper, will be in the family longer then any of us will. Assuming the next generation or two can handle her. She really is an awsome bird although a little two curious some times. My iggs arn't too fond either, oh well. I hope to be able to take in more iggs in the near future but can't just yet. Any way I was trying to get across that not all the animals being put up for adoption or sale are a bad thing for the owners to do. Some times it is in the animals best interest. Nana would be in a fifth wheel trailer if I had not been able to take her. At just over 5' that wouldn't have been in her best interest, her owner 40+yr old man cried as he gave her to me. Unfortunatly some people look into adoption and check out two or three potentials and just happen to find all the animals they looked at were sick, or aggressive. I am not at all discouraging anyone from adopting I am just saying most adoptions are taken in by seasoned owners that know what to expect. So you can't really blame an individual for purchasing a new pet, you can only encurage them to look into it once they are comforatable with thier first. Of course there are exceptions.
