Is it 24/7 or just during the day? If it is during the day only then do I need a heat lamp as well to keep the temp. up?

Read those links...they're all excellent reads. For a quick answer: lights should be only daylight on a 10/14, 11/13, 12/12 cycle. Timers work WONDERS to regulate this. As long as the heat doesn't go below 70 at night you need need an extra heat source.
