hello! I just got a new water dragon w/c is given to me by my friend because he dont like to keep it as a pet, just want to ask if is it ok to put two different species of iguana in one cage? I had a sailfin water dragon (2 1/2 ft long) and the other is a chinese water dragon (20cm long, new one)

So you have water dragons and not iguanas. That helps. I'll ask the people I know.

From what I hear Aussi & Chinese can be. You can use the banner above to get to Graceful Dragons. They may be able to help or direct you where to find the information. Please let us know how things go.

As with most reptiles you should not house them together since most have different needs and you should always quarentine new herps to begin with anyway and then with clean bills of health if you are going to introduce them to each other it should always be done in a neutral area to reduce stress.

hey there! I just bought a new cage for my new pet water dragon and he is fine now! but I have another problem about my sailfin water dragon before he had a wound on his mouth then it heals but it makes his mouth deformed the wounds leaves a huge cut on his skin near his mouth, I would just like to ask if will it go back on its original form even w/o a surgery?

I like to ask a question. What UVB bulbs are you using for your water dragons?

I only use a ordinary florescent lamp as a light for him in at night, would that be enough?

Night time should be dark. But you need a UVB bulb in the daytime. Either special UVB fluorescent bulbs or mercury vapor UVB bulb. UVB bulbs help in the absorption of calcium. Helps prevent MBD.
