Oh no! Iguanas in with the water dragons. While they may look like close cousins to green iguanas, water dragons are quite different. Sure, they are aboreal critters too. Both love humidity and heat too. But water dragons really need a "pond", while some iguanas could care less. The most important difference, though, is that water dragons primarily eat meat and insects. I don't know why the iguanas might think their food looks yummy... well, maybe a wax worm, but a cricket... ew! Regardless of that end the fact that the food might even taste good, an iguana's digestive system is not designed to process animal proteins, etc. Guys (igs), if you eat that stuff, not only will you be missing out on important nutrients you need, but you will be getting a lot of stuff that is basically posion to you. If you (igs) find your salads a bit bland, just demand a wider variety and some nice fruit and veggie treats. They will taste just as great (if not better), and be much better for you!

They both look great. I haven't seen them in a long time. It looks like Skittles is male. Skittles has that crest thing going on.

There you guys are!! I've been looking all over the place! I must've missed ya the first time I breezed through here. Now why would you wanna eat bugs?! You probably think they are getting something you aren't? Don't worry, you aren't missing out. Animal protein is not good at all for an iguana's digestive system. You want to stick to greens, veggies, and fruit. Yum!
