Hi all I am curious about a few things. I am a new Iggy owner I have two iggys right now and they are both in the same enclosure for right now. I am having a problem getting their enclosure up to around 60% humidity. It is a wood and wire enclosure around 4' tall 4' wide and 3' deep so it is really wide open. My Iguanas are juvenile around 6 months old I am guessing. What am I wondering is what wuold be the better humdity device, a misting system or a ultrasonic fogger? Any help will be great, how do I post pictures so I can pot a pic of my enclousre?

The fogger is nice but I had mine burn out once then the wire went bad on it and it just plain wont work now... Misting systems now those are really cool and I have even come across some nice plans for building your own...
My personal choice has been warm mist humidifiers... They don't produce enough heat to cause any burns just need to refill the water every day and then clean the machine out from time to time... I have been using those for over a year now and I have 2 in a large room and I can get it like walking into a sauna some days...
Those are just my personal experiences...

I agree with Elizabeth the warm mist humidifiers work really well I have cooled ones but do not work as great as the warm one work. But how to get your enclosure that way we would have to see a pic or two to tell you. To post Pictures you can Email me or Elizabth and we can do it for you or go to Photo bucket the link is in the link section of the board and register and you can do it your self just remember the (img /img) part of the picture.

Here is a pic of the enclosure that I have my iggys in. I will be be plexi glassing in the full back, 3/4 of the sides and probally the front up to 3/4. I might only do half of the front

that is a nice enclosure... enclosing it some will certainly help with keeping up the humidity levels even with just misting... If you do use a humidifier you will want to watch the room it is in since it is in your living room you want to watch for other things getting damp or moldy from the humidity being elevated... Once you have it enclosed try misting and see if that works...
Nice enclosure... I am sure once the second one is built they will both be very happy in them with room to grow!!
