He looks lost in there, but happy. That's a real nice set up with plenty of room to grow.
Nice job.

Hey there, that idea of an enclosure is great, but iguana's prefer long wide and tall enclosures. I'm not an enclosure expert like Patrick is though. That enclosure would be GREAT for Chameleons. I see he is just a small guy but it could be good for him. Patrick could tell you more on that.
Sometimes animals don't eat because of the stress of moviing and being put into a different surrounding. I wouldn't be worried if he doesn't eat for a few days. He/She will be fine if they are a healthy iguana. But if it goes on longer than 4 or 5 days message us back with the progress.
Thanks and long time no hear from you.

Sorry i havent been here, been pretty busy with the gf and everything else. Always a pleasure talking to you and everyone here. I'm just so happy to finally get sam out of the 55 gallon. He has been exploring the new setup and climbing around all day. Humidity is only around 40 but with the frequent mists that i give him im sure he will be fine. Once he gets bigger i will be sure to build something for him thats around 6x6x4. It took sam about a day and a half to just go and explore the bottom. He found his old hammocks and log and seemed very happy to still have some of his old stuff. The surroundings did not change and he still see's me at the computer when im working. He is sleeping vertical, which kind of confuses me when he has some nice leg room on the tree but he looks comfy. Anyways i will be sure to keep watch on him and try my best to make him eat. Sam is nothing less then my own child would be to me. Pretty odd how we take such love to these reptiles ehh?

Well...I can see the main problem with his not wanting to eat much. It's been about a week or so since the last posting, but chances are he's still not eating well. His food is on the floor. Baby igs need more security than that. If you could raise the cage a couple of feet off the floor I bet his appetite will improve. On the ground he has more of a chance of being "eaten" in his little mind.
The cage you have will not last very long. The claws of iguanas tend to make pretty short work of the mesh as they start growing more.
The ZooMed Power Sun is an o.k. light, but if you're (or your dad) is going to spend that much you might as well pay that and get the best. The Mega Ray SB is your best option for UVB/Heat combos. Next time you need a replacement...or return this one for a refund...get the MRSB. There's a noticeable difference in the colors and activity level in these guys under one.
I don't see a thermometer in there. Is it hidden or have you not gotten one yet?
