:(R.I.P Sydney. this little guy did so well i think to live as long as he did.even though he couldn't feed/drink himself.he was very happy climbing around occasionally caught small crickets but mainly fed and drank through syringe.when he hatched he was only expected to live 30-40 min.he couldn't really walk or hold his head up.it took weeks for him to even walk and about another month for him to be able to lift his head.i just got back from taken gizmo my iguana to the vet for her usual x-rays.and came back home with gizz and syd had gone.sydney was fine this morning ate/drank as usual.so i don't know what happened but he did ever so well i think lasting as long as he did he was over 2yrs but tiny very tiny but he desevered a chance at life and i wasn't giving up on him.

I'm so sorry Sarah. I can honestly say no one would have tried any harder than you did to keep him going. He was just a special little guy. Changing your routine will be one of the hardest things to get used to besides him not being there.

not even funny turned on his lights this morning. now if that aint weird i dunno wot is. then buried him first thing my dads mate said its not worth digging a hole.just stick him in the bin.i was no way doing that. however big/small or whatever the animal. maybe some people can throw them away like rubbish but i can't.yes his lifes ended but he dosen't deserve that kind of treatment no animals do before or after.maybe im stupid but thats how i think anyway.

When my baby ig died people told me to just chuck him in the trash bin. I would never do that. I dug a hole and buried him in the back yard next to one of our other ig's that had died. A lot of people thought I was being stupid but I didn't care.
The people that just chuck their pets in the garbage are not the type of people that should have pets. To me they are like a part of the family and deserve some respect when they die. Just my two cents. I'm sorry to hear you buddy died. Sounds like you did the best you could.

Sorry to hear about Sydney Sarah. He was a special little guy and he will be greatly missed. You did the best he could and thats all we can do for our little/big ones. When they are called across the bridge there is nothing we can do to stop them.
R.I.P. Sydney you will be in our hearts...

I'm so very sorry for your loss Sarah. It's very commendable that you took the time and compassion to show your little guy so much love. He had a wonderful life with you and you did right to keep him going, no matter what anyone says. The chance at life you gave him, regardless of how short or long, is just what he needed to know love. I think it's wonderful that you did not throw him in the trash bin. Digging a hole and giving him a proper burial is the closure to a life of love and compassion. I know you will miss him dearly, but remember you did all you could to keep him happy and healthy during his short life. You did him a service of love and there's nothing more important than love when it comes to life. *Hugs and comfort in your time of loss* Dawn
