Hey there! Ok we all know animals pick strange places to put nests. These were taken at work on a corn planter that was just brought in last week and hasn't even been cleaned yet! But we now have to wait. Can you see the nest? OK here it is closer And the size of these tiny eggs compared to a Canadian Looney, which is a bit bigger than a quarter. And the proud mother to be keeping her eggs warm I assume this is some kind of finch as it is very small. I will check the bird book then get back

Well I checked the bird book and haven't saw a bird that looked like that. She has the colourings of a male house sparrow, but not the female.
So does anyone know birds well?

nope its some kind of finch. The eggs are way way too small to be robins eggs. But yes the colours resemble Robin eggs.
One egg ended up falling out of the nest, one hatched and don't know what happed to it, and one hatched and fell out of the nest. So needless to say I guess no matter how careful we were about staying away from them. Nature decided to make things complicated for that little mom. Wishing her luck on her next batch of eggs though. Hope she finds somewhere safe where a cat or anything cat reach her.
