Sorry I didn't see this post! I'm so sorry! Yes hedgehogs make great pets, you need to be up at late hours as they are nocturnal. They require high quality food which costs me like 60$ for 3 months or so. I get 4 or 5 high quality brands and mix them together. they also eat meal worms and crickets. I will post a link with a lot of hedgehog information They are expensive to buy a quality hedgehog that will be with you for a long time though. I paid 130$ canadian for my male and 140$ for my female. They do have health problems also and need vet visits to. And they can become costly as most hedgehogs arn't friendly enough with strangers so they need to be sedated. This website I am giving you will tell you almost everythying you need to know about hedgehogs. Even colours, temperment, handling, food, breeding (not recomended by first time owners) and the laws on breeding hedgehogs. The people there are great and if you have any more questions just feel free to email me at chamzilla@yahoo.com Hedgehog care sheets: www.hedgehogcentral.com/care.shtmlAnd the home page of that site is www.hedgehogcentral.com
