Although had to leave it behind when I moved from Windsor. He belongs to my sisters, but my son just loved riding him and competing. This is Rambo, Miles (my son) and me. Rambo is a 16yr old Standardbred. Formally a Harness Horse (pacer) who was rescued from going to the slaughter house. Now he participates in Western Games and some English and Hunter/Jumper, and will be retired after the next season to just roam the pasture.

ahh he is beautiful! we also had a rescue harness racer. also a pacer. they actually look a lot alike. We couldn"t use him for much as he had nasty leg surgerys before we got him. he couldn't even hardly walk. Two weeks in the barn being fed rich foods and you couldn't stop him. When his old owner came down to see his progress he would start limping around like he was still hurt. They are smart animals. We gave ours to a place that breeds show horses, but he is only a companion horses for there retired breeders. He was a great guy, sadly when my mom got really sick we had to get rid of all the horses we had. I am hoping to get another some day. He really is beautiful, ours was named Max "Max a million Money Bucks" was his name. LOL Max had a bigger "star" on his forhead though. Still a very beautiful horse and a very nice picture

Rambo's registered name is Forever Rainbows. He belonged to the Santarossa's. Yes, the cement ppl. lol It's funny you say that about the limping, because Rambo does somewhat of the same thing. When he's not in the mood to work, he'll start limping on his left front. It's an old injury that sometime comes back, sore shoulder. You're right they are very smart animals. Rambo had to be retired only because he's got pigeon toes. So he would tend to slightly move to the fence and well, that's not a good thing. But he does great in his new profession. Especially for a Standardbred. Western Games are usually quarter horses. The picture is just outside Windsor, in Maidstone. Just past Manning Rd off 42.
