Hey everyone we just joined this wonderful site, just browsing around. Looks like there's a lot of good informaton and conversation going on here. I'm 23 and my girlfriends 24. We are big herp fans, we currently have 3 Mississippi Map Turtles, 2 firebellied toads, 6 taranchulas....1 pink toe, 1 rose hair, and 4 Pink Beauty Zebra's. Recently a friend of ours discovered she was pregnant... 5 months into her pregnancy. Anyway she has a 4 year old Iguana name Iggy ( how original), anyway she's getting rid of it, and we're the lucky recipiants. So soon we will have another wonderfull family member to love and take care of. Hello All

You're definitely on the right track on finding information!! Here are three sites highly recomended for all your learning. There are more, but these will keep you busy for quite some time...:-) www.anapsid.orgwww.greenigsociety.orgwww.iguanden.orgBooks: Green Iguana - The Ultimate Owner's Manual - James Hatfield III <---Excellent book!! Iguanas for Dummies - Melissa Kaplan <---Also owner of the anapsid site. The Iguana Den's Care And Keeping of Giant Green Iguanas - Merideth Martin Both of the first books can be found on www.half.com pretty often. Doing a quick check I found Hatfield's normally $35 book for $11 and Igs for Dummies have tons of listings with some as low as $2. All are worth having. Concentrate on Diet, UVB, heat/temperatures and enclosure size. These will help you have a healthy lizard...
