New to the boards but not the herps, I currently have 6 my first is a chinese water dragon i raised from a hatchling, a breeding pair of leopard geckos, two brown anoles, and an Argentine Black and White Tegu. The tegu is the most intelligent reptile i have ever seen, he learned how to open his cricket dispenser by watching me refill it. He figured out the latches on his cage, and how to switch his ultrasonic fog generator on and off. Spot(the tegu's name) is barely a year old and about 2 feet from STL. Spot is highly social and enjoys interacting with people and the other, furry pets. He usually interacts with a tail to the dog's face but it makes him happy. I swear he grins when he does it. Anyway, I just finished rehabilitating a classroom iguana suffering from MBD, and i'm trying to find a home for the little guy, He is a 1 year old male about a foot and a half STL, missing a few toes and part of his tail, a bit vicious but he's young enough to change that. I would keep him but i really don't have the time or resources for something that high maintenence. Does anyone living in or around southern Georgia want a green iguana?

You have a nice family there. We look forward to learning more about them. That is so sad about the iguana. Thank you for rehabbing him. I have a 13-14 year old iguana that was deformed (corkscrew lower back & tail) by MBD while under the care of her first owners. That was about 11 years ago. Yes iguanas are very high maintenance. You can list him on the Green Iguana Society Adoption Board (click). Check the GIS Other Adoptions & Rescues (click). Also list him at PetFinders (google to find url). Just realize there are many iguanas out there and it may take a while before you find a forever home for him or a rescue to take him. Well I hope you find the forum helpful and enjoyable.
