Hi, I have an ig named Nataku (Gund**n Wing). She is approximately 4-5 yrs old. She's had one previous owner but none of them were too bright to pinpoint the year they got her. The mom thought she was a baby and the son said he's had her for about 4 yrs. I rolled my eyes and took her.
Shes about due for measurements and weighs again, I will post that later. But shes over 3ft. Shes a free roamer although she don't go far. She loves the shelves she lives on and just moves up and down the levels. She walks around after her daily bath but then right back up the shelf.
She lives comfortably with a cat and dog, cat shares the shelves. Four outta five kids. Two rabbits and three guinea pigs. I have pics of her sharing a salad with the gpigs and getting kisses from the cat, but I need a scanner to post them.
They got rid of her cause she out grew the cage. They told me that they couldnt believe she grew so big cause if you only feed them once a week they stay small. And she was vicious, biting and tail whipping. She is so sweet when properly feed and housed. No biting or tail whipping, but that spitting, yuck, lol. She did bite me once, MY FAULT, I was holding a fresh green bean and talking on the phone and she wanted it, so she took it! My finger and bean. My finger was scraped pretty good. Ihave seen pics of ig bites and with a biting rabbit, I understand that all animals can and will bite. But so far, knock on wood, so good.
She eats lots of greens and some fruit. Turnip, collard, mustard with dandilion, boc choi, and other greens without the word lettuce in them. Veggies - green beans, green pepper, shaved carrots, sqashes and zucchini. Fruits - watermellon, mellons, strawberry, blueberry. Maybe once every week (if i remember) mushy soup made of 12 grain wheat bread, pumpkin, and shreaded squashes.
She has a double UVB light, Repti-8 Glo ( I think thats the name) each one gets changed every 6 months. A heat light, simple household light in a ceramic light socket thing by Flukers. A thermostat/humidity digital reader that moves around with her and a fluker heat probe that stays in her basking area. She has an outdoor enclosure that is 5ft by 5ft by 6 ft with climbing limbs and stuff.
Anything I forgot or needs to be cleared up let me know. Oh and yes she has a vet. Due for a check-up sometime in Sept or Oct, I will have to look that up.
