Thanks! I posted this pic on another site, and they said that she is not a Mali, that she LOOKS like a Yellow Nigerian!! And thats why she is so cranky because Nigerian's are like that! So i dont know, maybe she is! It was a small breeder i got her from so who knows!?

Yellow Nigerian/Saharan Uromastyx - Uromastyx geyriEven if it is a yellow nigerian it is not that it is not a URO if is just not a Mali Uromastyx - Uromastyx maliensis(it seems that the Mali Uro has some yellow in it's body sometimes too just not really up into their head or tail) Here is a site with pictures of them on it... www.massasaugaimports.com/pics/nigerianuro002.jpgI am still looking to see if there are differences in their temperments... If there is that is sort of bad business on the part of whomever you got it from to not tell you that they were giving you something different than you thought you were getting... (just my opinion)

Hey Steven if the case is that you have a different one I would suggest reading up on them to be sure you catch any possible differences in the care they need... www.exoticlizards.com/saharan-uromastyx.htmlthis site suggests there is a difference in the water needed

OK! FORGET ABOUT THE POST ABOVE. I think I will keep her, i just read that it takes a couple month for them to accumilate. Its just that she is REALLY shy, i can barely walk by the cage without her running really fast and hiding! BUT I guess ill give her more time, i just hope she gets better! Sorry!

I can't blame you but I am very glad to hear you are going to give it another try... I read that too that they need a few months to settle down... Hope that does the trick for her...
