I just got my first monitor and she is a 2.5, 3 ft savannah She is a sweet heart and i'm so glad i got her today ;D
She is going to be a happy little girl here with me.

She started basking 2 days ago and have not started eating yet. I'm going to try to day.
So please wish me luck lol.
And I know how munch you guys love pics i will get my sister cam and get some..

Yea she ant eating 4 me eather i might be tradeing her for a nother one.

Hi Neil, What do you mean she hasn't eaten yet? What are you trying to feed her? She's 2 1/2 feet long, she should be healthy and eating. Tony checked out your set up right? Are you handling her a lot? Is she kept in a high traffic area? She might just be stressed from the move.

I have her in the basment And i'm TRYing to feed her Mice and her basdking temp is 136 And yes Kap tony did cheack my set up out and he loves it lol.
I just talked to the girl who had her b4 me and she said it might be like 2 weeks.

the staple diet for savannah monitors should be insects for example crickets locusts and occasionally snails. mine go mad for them all the time and the movement around the viv is a stimulant for hunting.mice i advice should only be fed as a treat every now and again like once a week maximum.savannahs are the dustbins of the reptile world and will not stop eating if they are full you really have to watch there weight and control there food intake,now i think suplimented crickets and locusts are great as they give the monitor the exercise it would normally get in the wild.by all means give your bosc mice but pease do not give mice as a staple it cases major problems with their liver.
