Mark...your quoting me and responding was a bit redundant. Someone else had already responded exactly the same.
Zach...Could this be because he's not passing it? I agree with any other loose substartes being dangerous. And I will admit I need to learn more about beardies...I don't keep any. Sand may not be the best either. Why take the chance?

I think he was trying the birdseed after I had mentioned I use it for my two UROs... Now for them I have seen it pass and I have read a great deal and there are a lot of people who use it... However I am not sure I would recommend it for a Beardie I don't know enough about them to make that recommendation... I know I would never use something like that for my iggys or anything... I would certainly research that one more before I made that choice... I think I would have gone with the plain white paper or the newspaper that others suggested... I guess we just have to wait for an update and see how his beardies do on it and hope for the best...
Veronica brings up a good point that it is possible that you don't see it because the seed is not passing...
In the end all anyone can do is offer advice and hope that each person who makes the choice to take on a herp is a responsible caring owner and willing to put the best interests of their animals at the top of the list!!
