I now have 15 more eggs that were laid today. She laid them and I know for a fact that I did it right this time. I am still sad about my first clutch failing due to my inability to cover the eggs but now I know I did things right.

Eggs are still alive and doing well in the incubator.

Congrats! Maybe this time you get a baby or 10!
Don't beat yourself up. We learn from our mistakes and do things better the next time. A few of my "first times" ended in disaster. I've lost baby opossum, baby birds, a Chinese water dragon (ferrets are conniving), and unfortunately more than I would like to admit. At least with your eggs, nothing physically suffered...:-)

Thats great Zach! Glad you worked out the kinks and hope everything works out for the eggs. Well at least one or two but maybe ten like prism said. That would be exciting. I've never saw baby baby beardies. Like tiny tiny ones. They would be neat to see

I will take pictures. I have other great news. Im not moving to a apartment. The house I live in now is my mothers and I have been turned down on many rent applications because of my reptiles. I had written documents from Doctors, previous landlords, and friends who were references that wrote about how much I know about my animals and take care of them. My vet even wrote a statement saying that I knew what I was doing but they just assumed the worst about these animals. My mother has decided not to sell the house Im living in which she bought. She and my stepfather make are wealthy enough to afford a second house. So I have a 3 bedroom house with a sunroom, one bath/shower, full basement and garage for $400 dollars monthly in rent minus the utilities. Ill be paying in all between $750-$900 a month including utilities. This is provided I dont abuse my energy. Im thinking about using my basement to keep the reptiles. There is a flooding problem but only when it rains alot all at once. I havent seen it more than a 1/2 inch deep in water. I plan on keeping the things I dont want wet in storage bins so no water damage occurs. I also have a old cafeteria table which allows me to keep my aquariums off the floor. My reptile room get pretty hot in the summer with all those Megarays in the room running. I have 5 Megarays running in a sun room. During the summer months it gets hot in their because its all windows and there arent any vents. If I put them in the basement then it will be cooler down their then in the sun room. Im thinking about staying in this home for along time now. Im thankful my Mom decided to rent it to me instead of just sell it. As far as the flooding of the basement goes I know how to fix the problem so it just takes the work to dig the yard up and install new drainage. The current drainage pipe is busted and we just havent fixed it yet. It only floods maybe twice a year. I always suck up the water with a shop vac and put floor fans to dry it out. I also have access to a extractor when ever I need it. I have big industrial floor fans that are designed specifically for drying wet floors. During the winter months I plan on using electric heaters in certain areas so I dont spend so much on gas bills. I would rather have a high electricity bill than a high heat bill. The gas bill got as high as $300 during last winter but if I close off some of the rooms and I set my thermostat on the house to 64 during the winter while Im running the space heaters then I should be alright. The highest I would ever pay is close to a thousand dollars a month in all my bills. Im financial set to do it. I will also have more room to house these babies when they are hatched. LOL. I have everything at my fingertips to breed dragons. I have tons of old aquariums friends have given me plus I also have picked some up right off the curb. LOL. Yes they do call that dumpster diving. I have the school district I work for that is convinced that they need me to help them teach the kids about reptiles. The principle came to me and asked if they could purchase some babies for the Zoology course they started teaching again. The teacher that will do this has asked me to help teach the kids about them but also help take care of them. Key thing is I can do it and still get paid for it. Wow what a deal. After taking them in 3 years in a row they were convinced Zoology and Botany were a good idea to bring back into the school lessons. I will take care of the animals and make frequent visits during the day to help teach. I dont have a degree or anything but I would be paid like a Para and I will also work as a custodian after school. I am considered a classified employee because I am a custodian. Para's are also classified employees and they get paid by the hour. I would only do this on the occasions where my animals are needed for showing them off and teaching the kids about their anatomy and ecosystems. This idea was proposed to the superintindent and he loved the idea. He thought it would be great for the kids not only learn about the animals of Kansas but of the world. Even if they arent native to this country they should be taught about in schools so if kids who end up learning more about these animals know how to take care of them when and if they purchase them or rescue. This is only a certain time of the year that this will be taught but Im excited they have given me the opportunity to spread my knowledge about my animals so the kids can see these animals in real life instead of on TV. Nana has become very popular among the kids. They even started calling me the Iguana man at the school. Yah they wont call me Mr. Custodian man anymore.LOL I know this could cause stress among the animals but I dont think the beardies will have any problems because their the only one with a permanent residence at school. P.S. Sorry my post was so long. LOL
