Thanks guys!
Yeah, Bindi is a small girl! Sheila is bigger then her! lol...thats another reason why I was afraid to breed Rex and Bindi. I wouldn't want Rex hurting her.

I don't have an beardies but after seeing that picture or Thorin I am truely in lone and have done alot of reading baout them.. They sound like a great animal. Social and sweet. Are they thorny to the touch? Like prickly? Or just does it look that way?
Do Beardies free roam or just happy in a habitat? I know they dont get as big as Iguanas thats why I am asking?
Are all beardies the same temperment...? I mean sandfire as apposed to translucent or pastel?
I want to go to the reptile show next week and am seriously considering getting one or two. Are they happier in a couple (male male , female male) or happier being alone?
Thanks alot in advance

No, it doesn't usually hurt when you touch their thorns, it probably hurts them more, lol. Beardies are perfectly happy in a habitat and do not need to free roam. A 4x2x2 enclosure is suitable for an adult beardie. Whats great about these animals is that everyone one of them has their own personality so you never really know how they are until you spend some time with them. They are all usually really sweet and love attention, but there can be some with attitudes. Beardies are solitary animals but females can be kept together but there are risks. Dominant dragons can stress out the other dragons and prevent them from eating or basking. Males should NOT be kept together. Males and females should ONLY be kept together for breeding purposes. For your first dragon, I would start off by getting one and working with that one and get the feel for it and then you can decide later if you want another one or not. Do more research, you can always learn more. Check www.beautifuldragons.com for what greens to feed! Good luck, Steven
