I would like you all to meet Gizz. He's a 5 year old Green Iguana, we've had him for about 4 years now. He was given to us by one of my Dad's acquaintances who no longer wanted anything to do with him. He was in a fragile state when we got him, he was living in a large tupperware type container, and one of his toes was completely out of joint. Looked almost broken. Didn't like to be touched by anyone, and didn't trust anyone or anything. Now he's large, healthy and really enjoys being pet by my 6 year old son and my old man. But for some reason, he doesn't really like me too much, and never really did. And now, since we moved into a smaller place, he follows me around everywhere when he's roaming. Anyway, here's a few pics. Gizz, about 6 months to a year after we got him Reaching for a treat. Looking like an old man.....

He's absolutely GORGEOUS! He's one of the lucky ones to find someone who looks like they know what they're doing...:-) He sure has changed over the years. What a great save!

Thank you both. We're very happy with the way things have turned out for him. When we first got him, we weren't sure if he was going to make it. He was so antisocial and didn't like people touching him. But over the months and years he's become a family member.
I also forgot to mention that when we got him, he had already lost part of his tail and the regrowth was just horrid. But now, he looks wonderful, as you can see. He's healthy, loves to roam and check everything out.
thanks again for the great comments.

Thanks.... I would say he was about 2 feet or so long. He had already lost his tail and had some regrowth. When we first got him, he was scared, nervous. Tail whipping and trying to bite. My old man is the one that handled him most of the time and would only allow him to touch his side. He was very scared of hands. Everytime he would see fingers in his sight he would freak. Then it got to the point where the old man would be laying on the floor and Gizz would come to him to be pet. This is when we figured he was comfortable with us finally. But you still couldn't go to him to pet him. But now, no problems at all.
