when I'm gone. Dragon wasn't drinking water on her own when I left. Mike (the sitter) says he seen her drinking. I felt her stomach and it feels full. Huff was starting to look a little thin--he was in season. He looks plumper now. Baby seems ok also. She seems the same--still going to her top shelf. He also said they were finishing their first serving of greens for him--they weren't for me. They all have an appointment tomorrow (actually today). I hope that shows they did well while I was gone also. Maybe I should leave more often.

As always seeing my Dad was great and that is the reason I go so the trip was great. Ate a lot of boiled peanuts. Had to listen to more Country music than I usually do but it is only one time a year. As long as the vet visit turns out good I'll be happy. Got to go get them shoved in the carriers.
Thanks Marie

All three seemed to fare well while I was gone.
Dragon's bloodwork turned out fine. No signs of Kidney failure. White blood cell levels were fine. Her calcium was a little elevated but Dr Cecil didn't seem concerned. He thought she was constipated at the time but she has gone since then.
Baby again had puffy eyes and a swollen throat like in December. Then he did an xray and found that the kidneys appeared healthy. That is how he found her back fracture though. This time we did the bloodwork. That doesn't show any signs of kidney problems either. So kidney problems are not causing the eyes or throat to be swollen. He thinks she is healthy though. Oh and she seems like the back fracture doesn't bother at all. It has either healed or is practically healed.
Now I was pretty sure Huff was going into season when I left. I am almost positive he has gone into it. He has become a biter. He bit me when I went to get him off the door of the carrier. I called him an uncomplimentary name but did not let him down or let him bite me again. Now he tries to bite each time I handle him. So far though I have been able to avoid getting bit. I think also that he was able to intimidate the sitter into leaving him alone and he thinks it will work with me. The vet looked at his tail and didn't see any signs of infection. But a piece of bone sticks out. The vet didn't think it was necessary to do anything. He said as long as more of his tail didn't start dying that the tail was fine. So all that is wrong with him is that he has become a mean little sh*t. He is going to begin to think that is his name if I am not careful.

Glad to hear your back and all went well. Nana is slowly begining to realize that her threats of biting aren't doing her any good and she is not as adimant at getting a piece as she was a few months ago. And she doesn't even threaten to if she is outside, guess we have come to a compromise. Just wish I could blame her agressiveness on the season, guess she is stuck in a bad season, still love her just the same.
