Checking over my safe foods list for the Iguana I saw that you can feed banana peels if they are organic. How many of you all have fed banana peels?

Hey there Zach, Where I live I can't get organic banana's. I can just get the plain old chemical sprayed banana's. But Marie used to feed her girls and boy banana's whole when she lived in California she told me. They really liked them she said. As for my iggys, they try and eat the peels when I give them banana's but I can't let them. I'm sure they don't taste that bad. Give em a try and tell me how they taste lol jk.

Im thinking about getting the organic ones from now on. How good are the peels for them? I watched a documentary on iguana's one time and they showed this guy down in South America feeding iguana's bananas with the peel. Of course they were growing wild down their and the iguana's would eat them after they fell to the ground. It must be hard trying to get organic food in Canada.

The peels of fruits usually hold the most concentration of nutrients. I feed my guys the peel of everything I can...including the very, very rare banana.
