What do you guys feed your T's? I have always used crickets because I was told they are pretty complete nutrition wise. What opinions do you guys have on how to feed T's?

I feed anything 3" and under crickets, all of my larger T's that are 4"+ I feed dubia roaches since they add weight ten times faster than 15 crickets would. Lol Its hard to make a 7" tarantula chunky on crickets. I know some people do it, but I'm 100% against feeding mammals, live or dead. Theres no point to it and the tarantula doesnt benefit from it at all.

I totally agree with not feeding of mammals to my T's. When I was younger my father had a rather large Tarantula. I have no idea what kind it was but he would feed it live frogs and mice. I always felt really bad about that. Sometimes when he would drop them in and walk away I'd sneak them out of the cage and let them go outside. I was in fourth grade then. Now that I think back on that I had no thought about the T biting me. I guess I got lucky that he had a docile one.
I'll have to look in to the dubia roaches. I'm not sure where I would get those in my area. My flame knee and choco are both 3.5 to 4" and would benefit from those.

The roaches I would have to order online, but they're wonderful for the larger bug eaters in my house. I use crix mostly, and superworms between cricket orders.

Yeah with my roaches I bought a colony of them and left all the adults be and I just fed off the babies and nonmature ones to give them time to breed and produce more...unfortunately they dont breed as fast as i've been feeding them off.

Yeah I read that they don't climb or fly. But that doesn't make my wife feel any better LOL. Where do you buy yours from? I found a site that sells 100 assorted for $30 to start a colony here blaberus.com
