Just wondering what some safe live plants are I was hoping to plant them in my tank for the iguana. Also iguanas tent to poop in water. I have a baby and a 55g tank and I have a piece of plexy glass so I have if 60 % land 40 % water and its 6 inches deep with a water fall in it. Should I make it shallower? And what plants could I plant in there? And is grass an ok ground substrate for them?

Yes - iguanas do tend to poop in water. You need a good filtration system if you cannot clean the poop out of a water source you cannot remove everyday to clean. Your land/water ratio is just fine as long as you have plenty of climbing places for your ig. 6" is o.k. as long as you have a rock in there for the ig to grab a hold of if it happens to take an accidental dip in there. You don't normally want the water to go past the level of the shoulders, especially if the water is only room temp. A cold ig may have a hard time climbing back out. I'm going to say you have a dirt substrate. As nice as this looks...this isn't always a good choice. Not only could the ig ingest this causing a possible impaction which often proves to be fatal...this kind of ground cover harbors bacteria and germs. Newspaper, butcher paper, linoleum, etc. are better choices. They don't necessarily look as nice, but it is safer. Safe plants! LOTS of them. The only problem is that igs tend to shred them horribly. But here's a link so you can try your hand at them. Leave them in the pots and place large rocks over the dirt portion to help keep it weighted down...and to keep the ig from ingesting it. www.iguanaden.org/diet/nontoxic.htmwww.iguanaden.org/diet/toxic.htm

Right now it is bark. I was going to put dirt underneath it but I like the pot idea. Also is I were to plant grass on my own would it be ok to put that in there? I want it to be as life like as possible or if ti have some other ideas?

Bark is a killer of all reptiles. This needs to be removed. With the grass you would have the same problem of molds, bacteria and fungus growing. In a contained environment there is no way for nature to "flush" the ground. It's just not a good idea.
