I just received my Mega Ray Kit, Looking at the pic would you say It's too close to my iguana? He's hanging on screen which he never did with the compact 5.0 bulb. Only reason I mounted it so close is because of the fine mesh between him and the light. Iguanas can sense when their over exposed to UVB right? Theres plenty of leaves and stuff he could hide under if he felt to UVB'ed.

how big is your tank? it look far enough away if he gets hot he will move... but there has to be a cooler spot to move to even though theres leaves it still gets hot under them... just keep an eye on the temp if it gets to hot move it up higher ... hope this will help out some

the thermoter nearest the basking spot averages about 95/96 degrees, and the one on the other end says around 80 (day and night).
