surely i would`nt put a baby Iggy in a really big six foot enclosure? what would be the basic size Viv would i need to start with? and how fast will he grow, i mean till i have to move him? thanks

Hello and welcome to the forum You could put him in a big enclosure if you wish, just make sure he can't find anywhere to climb out. A smaller viv or aquarium will work for a few months till you can build/buy something bigger. And iguana fed properly could grow quite rapidly and out grow a 50gallon tank in a year or two... If the enclosure is 4x longer than your iguana then he is safe for now... when he grows so should the place where he is living. And iguana doesn't stop growing even if the place he lives is cramped. They do get deformed if made to live in to small of quarters and not able to move around freely... Just a heads up You know about diet and UV and all that stuff? How big of a baby in inches are you refering to? without tail and with tail Hope to hear back
