as i said.
i am just assuming the sex on "knocker"
i won't know till he shows other signs of his(her) habits.
the first iguana i had was about 20 years ago and i was ill prepared to be able to take care of him.
i passed him off to another couple who could do so.
Cappy i purchased as an infant and did my best to raise her.
about a year into owning her i rescued another .
Raz.
he was a sweetheart that had not had perfect care.
Raz passed away one summer day and i buried him in our strawberry patch out back.
a couple years later was when i was making the decision to move to Colorado and knew that the stress of such a distance of travel and the subsequent stress on Cappy left me with little choice but to find her a better home.
i did find her a co-worker who was very versed in the care of exotics and decided she would be happier there than with me.
I've since lost contact with that person.
i hope she is doing well.
she was an alpha female as well.
a real PIA at times, but a true entertainer.
that story is for later.
back onto knocker and what he is fed.
i have found nothing on the list of iguana foods that he will not eat.
he gets a good portion of greens and veggies each day.
and a second meal once i come home from work.
second meal usually consists of more greens with a bit more of the better veggies and or a bit of fruit.
he was a little upset with me this morning though.
i forgot to feed him his second meal yesterday.
the look on his face was undeniable.
here is a more recent pic!!
does not like the camera!!!
