Hi all glad to meet you all, I have two toads that my husband rescued from the trucking FedEx lot in Denver that were hopping across the truck yard about 6 months ago. He said there were hundreds of "smashed" toads on the lot and he ran and rescued two. We have them here and they are named Grumpy and Dopey. We now have a 10 gallon terrarium set up for them with sand and a large water basking dish. We get crickets every week to feed them and they are doing great though most the time, now, in the winter they are under the sand, they like to remain invisible My husband's goal is to wait until next summer and get them to the place he feels they were naturally trying to get to across the fedex parking lot, which is a pond. He feels really responsible for these two getting there So far the toads are healthy and eating very well, not sure if they are happy but I know they are happier in their 10 gallon tank than the small one we first had them in! I love when I wake up and see Grumpy basking on his log! Dopey is really happier under the sand but comes out to eat now and then We are going to get a lizard for my daughter when we can afford the whole setup who will live in captivity with us. BUT, Grumpy and Dopey will eventually get to that pond they were trying to

Welcome Toads! Hope you enjoy our small knowledgeable community They look like they are having a blast in that tub! And thank goodness for your husband rescuing them! I like the photo with the light on the water! Nice
