hello!! Just got a visitor from somewhere else!!! Here is some pics of him/her: from where I lived it is so unusual to see a frog here at this size since I am living in a urban area….. can anyone identify what kind of frog he/she is and is it safe to keep, hmmmm… I am planning to keep him he looks kind a cute pet… and what does he/she eat??? Thanks!!!!

well, first off, it's a toad..not a frog. i have no idea what kind it is.. but toads can be commonly found in urban areas. especially if there is gardens or things of that sort. i dont recommend keeping him but for now i would give him a couple inches at least of sand to burrow into so he can feel safe. i'd put a piece of bark or wood or a flat rock so he can burrow underneath it

oh, and once you get the substrate in there, throw in a few bugs/worms.

Hey there, Ashley is right that is a toad. Where exactly are you located? It resembles a North American Toad, but I could be wrong. Toads arn't too good of pets, as they are very different from a frog. They can't live exclusivly in water either. I'll see what I can find and get back to you Oh in your thing is says phillipenes. I am not sure then. I will look it up

Hey there, What you have there is a Cane toad also known as the standard American toad. This toad is located all over the world. Here is some information on it. It is a poisionous toad if you get the milky white stuff on yourself or injest it that comes from the bumps on either side of its head. Here is some info. www.honoluluzoo.org/cane_toad.htm

Hi there !!! thanks for the reply… sorry it take me too long to reply I am moving to a new house…. Chamzilla I cannot open the link you have posted but thanks anyway since Ashley said it was not good as pet I brought it in a nearby creek and release it…… There it will have plenty of food and I am sure that no one will bother it… Thanks again for the help……..
