Another way to help the blue iguana

Hello,

I am a watercolor artist who has taken an interest in helping
to save The Blue Cayman Iguana from extinction. My name and art web-site are
listed below where you may check the quality of my work. With the
encouragement and guidance of both my daughter, who is Senior Herp and
Amphibian keeper at a major AZA Accredited Zoo, (working with endangered
species of both Amphibian and Iguana) and her Curator, who is also a board
member of The International Iguana Foundation (IIF), I have set up an Ebay Auction to help raise much needed funds.

I have been posting both Green & Blue Iguana Original Paintings, high quality prints, and 5x7 inch greeting cards for auction with 50% of the sales going directly to IIF:

The remaining 50% helps covers production costs, supplies and packaging of the item sold (although not always completely). Recently sales have died off, which I understand is normal for Ebay during summer months. Therefore I have started to add other pieces of my work hoping to draw additional sales in that manner.

It has been suggested that I contact known Iguana owners and Herp. enthusiasts and ask for help with both sales and exposure.

Another hurricane season is beginning that includes the Cayman Islands and help is urgently needed. My product is of the highest quality and more than worth the prices being listed on eBay. You may also check www.blueiguana.ky/ for more information of this project.

Bring Mother Nature Indoors

Wish to thank Patrick and Elizabeth for adding my above email and images of original watercolor paintings to your site. Want you to know that I am an award winning nature artist and this is not a money making project for myself but strictly for The Blue Cayman Iguana in dire need of your support. Another hurricane season is here. They barely escaped last years series of hurricane's, period. Because this is an Island, everything must either be flown or shipped in, so finding electrical generators, fresh food supplies, etc. is not easy nor quick.

To those saving for a trip down, this is very noble however what they are most in need of would be the funds to provide shelter for breeding and young Iguana being raised to repopulate the wild, and with this you could give immediate help. While making a donation outright may not be something many of you could do, perhaps the purchase of note cards, a poster or print would be more up your alley! I gain nothing from this purchase but a good nights sleep from knowing that my work is helping something so needed. I will personally hand sign any piece coming out to you.

Madlen, that is nice of you to say, but the way I see it, it is you guys here that are unselfish. I had started with another forum, will not say their name, however not only did I not see one word there about other species of Iguana, some of which are indangered, they complained about my "trying to sell" something to them, totally missing the point. I had even offered to do a painting for one of them of their very own Green (normally a $400 to $1000 original), and they complained about that!!!!
