Marie,
I looked at the post and it concerns me very much. With less than 200 pure bred lewisi in the wild, I find it very difficult to believe he has pure breds. Not even David Blair has pure bred lewisi for sale. Heck the Audubon Zoo in New Orleans had trouble getting purebred cyclura. I'm willing to bet it's a scam. Also, the picture on the website is the one in the current issue of Reptile magazine's article. I wonder if I should try to contact the magazine to let them know that their copyright may be being violated?

Some people of BIRP are currently looking into it now. But another voice couldn't hurt.

I left a message for the people who publish Reptile magazine. Sometimes, when you can't get them anyother way, a little copyright infringment can go a long way. After all, look how they finally got Capone? Not copyright, but the same principle. Even if he's legitimate, he should be using his own pictures.
Let me know what they say a BIRP. I emailed them recently, btw. I'd like to start taking Kismet to schools and such again but need some official info about their program so I don't give out misinformation.

I think the picture is BIRP's. The magazine had permission to use it though.
It is great that you are trying to help educate people on the plight of the Blues. It is one of my favorite charities. Right now they are trying to raise funds for a fence to protect the Blue iguanas from poachers and other dangers.

It's so awful for the blues. When I first adopted Kismet, I felt even then it was my responsibility to help her wild cousins.
That makes sense that it would be BIRPs. But to whomever it belongs, this guy is coming just short of saying it's his picture. He's careful not to do so, but the implication is that he at least has permission. If you talk to anyone from BIRP, please let them know that Kismet and I really want to help.

MMMMMMMMM it says the item is closed so I couldn't even look at it. Its just someone probably being a loser and trying to get money for something that isn't even that quality. Some people.

I would love to know what happened. It's not listed in any of the closed auction lists so perhaps he got caught for something, hopefully fraud. But I do worry about whatever animals he actually was trying to sell.
Marie, did you hear anything from BIRF?
