Well I was helping a friend out who got in a fight with his parents and him and his g/f moved from NC to chicago (where i live) and i got a place with them and signed a 12 month lease. well i was living with the parents before and i was at a point that i would have been just accumilating money at that point. well i helped them out and got the place with them and all, and they broke up, she moved out, and he moved back home after about 2-1/2 months of the lease... so now im stuck with a 2 bedroom appartment in the chicago land area, all by my self... BTW its $945 a month not cheap either lol.

2 bedroom for that much? I only pay 825 Canadian ( thats 5 bucks US by the way ) for a full 3 bedroom house with 3 floors and huge yards front and back. Kick his ass and try to break lease if you can or find another better roommate....good luck WOW 945 for only a storage closet with a view , and I complain about Calgary AB Canada LOL

Yes, that is why I quit getting roommates. I am moving because how expensive it is here in San Diego. A dinky 1 bedroom condo in a gang neighborhood goes for 189k(cheapest).

well that situation sucks big time for you all around. I would ask the land loard also about the smaller appartment. Couldn't hurt to ask. Good luck and maybe you could look into another room mate. Sign a contract with them this time. Good luck

Next question, was his name on the lease as well? If so you could take him to small claims court and sue him for his half of the rent and the bills.
By the way I live in a 3 bedroom 2 1/2 bath townhouse with 1,575 square feet and I pay $835 a month. That is not to bad for the heart of Nashville Tenn.
