Well... my life in a nutshell... my 4 kids take up a lot of it, and the animals (zippy, 2 cats, 4 birds) take up the rest and i now work for myself so that fits inbetween everything else oh yeh... hubby (maxlean on here) gets a bit of attention every now and then aswell lol my youngest (nicknamed Pob) is now 8 months and my oldest is 10, i keep trying to get pob to stay a baby a bit longer but she's having none if it she's started to say the odd word now (hello, look, byebye) and getting too big too fast!! i thought the others might get a little jealous of her so spent a lot of time with them individually to start with, but they got fed up with me and told me they were fed up with playing with me and can i please go and see to the baby now lol so i did the only thing that has been a topic of jealousy is when my oldest son worked out that she would NEVER EVER have to go to school on her birthday - she was born on new years day lol i did apologise for not timing his birthday better ;D

Those a REALLY great looking kids! We're empty-nesters now. Both girls have moved out...the 19 yr. old only 3 months ago. I am thankful I am past the baby stage...however...I am getting ready to enter the big "G" phase. I'm going to be a Grandma! Not for awhile yet, but my oldest daughter (23 yrs. old) made the announcement a couple of weeks ago. It will be April before the baby's due. I am SO excited!
I wish I could afford to stay home...or even find something I could make money at staying home...but I work a regular 40-50 an hour a week job. My passion is definitely the animals. We have a crew here, which is not as large as it was a year ago...thank goodness!

oh how exciting!! April will come round sooner than you think wow you have quite a collection there you sound as if your as much of a sucker for a sob story as me lol we used to foster strays, at one point we had:- 2 thingyatiels (1 bald from plucking and the other just attitude) 4 kakarikis (1 breeding pair with lots of babies that was ours and the others rescue) 10 budgies (2 were mine the rest rescue) 2 zebra finches (my daughters) 1 hamster (youngest sons) 2 leaopard geckos (oldest sons) 4 cats (2 mine 2 rescue) 1 bearded dragon (rescue - very disabled, couldnt use front legs but stayed with us and lived to a ripe old age) 1 dog (retired racing greyhound - rescued) 2 rabbits (rescue) 1 duck (rescue that my dog found alone as a baby, then we discovered why the mother left him - he couldnt swim!) 2 ferrets (husbands) the idea was that i fostered the strays and found them new loving homes, which most of the time i did but every now and then we had trouble parting with one and they came part of the family (bearded dragon being one and the dog another lol)

I know the story. That's how we came by our own dogs, the CAG, ferret, and so many others. I do rescue work and it does become very easy to get attached. The snake, 2 of the dogs, and the kitten are fosters, but the rest are ours.

WOW that is quite a zoo you have there also! I have the same problem. I love animals to no end and it seems every animal that is in need or sick ends up here. My dad has been pretty good with it since this is his house. Now since I get attached to animals so easy, I try and find them homes before it is there last resort. But you know sometimes it still does happen. I'm glad I have some great friends that have big hearts to though. All I have left with me anymore is.... 1 male Deaf Great Dane my baby boy that is 7 and deaf since birth 1 female Black German Shep severly malnurished when I got her 8 years ago over 9 years old 2 Female cats, both were very sick one is 10 now and the other is 5 1 female veiled chameleon 2 hedgehogs 3 green iggies From various situations. 1 half paralyzed due to MBD and poor diet and no UV lighting. 1 young male ignored and had a bad diet. And Baby which I took after Marie from this site passed away. And Baby should be around 14 almost 15 years old by now. 1 RES rescued from being kept in water for 13 years. Given to us by my brothers pastor to rehabilitate from shell rot. And some fish and thats all my zoo has left anymore. At one time we had 1 ball python, 2 scorpians, 2 trantulas, 1 albino burmese python, 1 male veiled chameleon, 1 female hedgehog, 3 horses and I think thats about it. Glad to see I'm not the only one left with a "zoo" around here And those are deffinatly some cute kids
