Things here are going alright. Last Saturday, I returned from a great week at the beach. I wish I could live there, but the hurricanes could get annoying. My mother was nice enough to take care of all of my critters while I was away. Since I have returned, I have had a problem with my dog. First, he was chewing on the neighbours stuff and then he decides to go after chickens. We put him on a leash and he broke it and then I went out and bought a Kennel and he has dug out from under it so now I must go and put some cement down. My dad tried to get me to take him to a pound and I refuse to do that. He is family to me and no matter how much it cost, I am going to do my best to keep him out of trouble.

Yeah. I thought mine were trained to the yard too. For the longest time that is where they stayed, but then Clara made it to a main road and got hit and we figure she was following another dog. I don't know what is going on with Scooter. I have him hooked to a stronger leash right now and its really long so he can pretty much run around the entire back yard. I have a feeling I bought the Kennel for nothing. I may see if I can sell it soon. As for the beach, I hope to go back again. I love it there and as soon as I get my pictures developed, I'll see about posting pictures.

Hey there, you could just buy patio stones (the big ones) and place them under the whole kennel floor. That is what my brother had to do with his dogs. IT worked beautifully. And when the dogs went, he used the stones for something else. They arn't that costworthy and not as perminent as a cement slab. Just a thought. Have you looked into the invisible fence? Scooter might be suffering from depression and acting out just like a child would. Clara was his family also, he may be trying to escape to find her. Not all dogs get the reality of death. But just things that could be happening to him. Good luck, let us know how it goes

Hey. Thanks for the advice. I didn't even think of Patio Stones. I'll have to check if anyone around here sells them. Right now, I have him on a stronger leash. I had bought him a harness, but he broke it. So, he is wearing his mom's old pink harness. lol. It works.
