Hi Everyone,
I'm not sure what to say or how to come back to the list. I'm gradually recovering from a really bad MS attack that frightened my family pretty badly. My husband and daughter are still doing about 99% of the animal maintenance but now that the iggies are inside again for most of the day I'm spending some time with them again. Kismet and I spent some time laying together on the couch and catching up. Mayan is still too much for me to handle so I'm talking to him more from a distance, but he is doing well and he and my dh have had some male bonding time.
I can't express how awful Mike and I feel about not taking Huff as we had planned. When I got sick Mike was really scared that he would not be able to take care of another animal. He really has had his hands full with everyone and though Elizabeth is an amazing amount of help she has her hands pretty full with school. Still, it made us sick to turn Huff down since we already thought of him as ours. With me getting sick again, though, we didn't get to move so we're all still really crowded around here, but making do.
Anyway, that is the update. I hope everyone will have me back.
Susan

SUSAN! How could anyone NOT have you back! You obviously have things very much out of your control. No one can fault a body for that... I am glad...as I'm sure everyone is...that you're making some progress and are able to get in some special animal time. They are natures therapy... ;D...and I'm sure you were missed by them, too. Kismet for sure. Continue getting well and don't worry about Huff. He seems to have gotten a pretty good home. Patrick can tell you more about that though. Welcome back... ;D

Thank you, Veronica. Hopefully, things will just get better from here. I still feel badly because the iggies really do need new indoor cages, but there isn't any room. So, we're just compromising with more out time. It still gets warm enough that Mike can put them outside for real sunlight for at least a couple of hours a day. It will be that way most of the year. Kismet's outside enclosure is quite roomy enough, but now that half of Mayan's enclosure is inside, his outside enclosure isn't much roomier than his inside one. Hopefully Mike will have some time to build him a new one soon and just make it portable in case we ever do get to move.... so, Huff has a new home? Is he happy? ? Patrick, please post! Susan
