I have been keeping and breeding Sauromalus sp. for some years. I have only one colony now, they originated in Puerto Penasco, Sinaloa, Mexico. They are not the most colorful of the Chucks, but have been by far the most personable and just fun to have.. This photo from today shows a September '06 hatchling sunning with a 3 year old female.. . . It takes some special care and provisions to keep Chuckwallas, they're not for everybody. . Thanks for looking and have a great day!. . Gus.

They're definitely keeping their eyes on you...lol. They remind me of a cross between a uromastyx and a cyclura. The body shape is very uro...while the head/tail are very cyclura.
