Meet Lizzie Butt - to change names eventually! He is in very good shape...however!!...when he doesn't want to be picked up - and Sara warned me - he will poop what must be everything he had for the last 24 hours - which he did! He is very healthy for which I have been fortunate in the last several animals I've gotten. Usually they're very sick and need of serious TLC. Not in this case!

I need to change his food dish to one of those metal ones with the wide base, but I figured this would keep his live food contained so they can't climb out and still be able to have a more natural substrate without worrying about him ingesting the bark trying to catch his food. He will eat from tongs, but he needs to learn to eat out of a dish. I just don't have time for that tong nonsense... .
Sara also donated a ton of stuff. I was really happy to have met such a caring person. I had a warm fuzzy feeling all day - heck - still have it. She needed to find Lizzie Butt a home because she did not have space for a larger enclosure for him. You're seeing him in a 75 gal.
She also has a couple of burms...still both small. A 6 month old female bigger than the 2 year old rescue she took in a week ago. He's very aggressive, was starved on small prey fed every so often to keep him small because the guy didn't want the snake to get very big since he didn't have room for a cage big enough... . I think the snake has a very good home now. Some very cute leos also shared the space... ;D.
This plated lizard is the more uncommon of the species. Almost all plateds are WC (wild caught) because there are no good breeding programs for these lizards. There is not even a good care sheet for these gorgeous lizards. It looks like a Batik statue, doesn't it?
