WOOT! 'Tis the season and I've never met an ig yet that didn't like fresh pumpkin!! The skin is extra tough...so for babies (or bearded dragons) you may want to cut the flesh from it...or shave it extra small.
It's supposed to act as an aid in constipation...but none of the ones I've fed it to have ever pooped more than usual eating this stuff. However! Canned pumpkin IS a great "releaser".

I never thought about pumpkin, we have one we didn't carve. Do you think it could be frozen and feed later, also?

Once it's been frozen it loses a lot of it's vitamins, but as long as you don't use much...it will still be a tasty treat...:-)

Well, I cut the pumpkin up tonight. Ivy is a picky eater. She didn't touch the pumpkin. I will try it again tomorrow to see if she will eat any of it.

How do you mean "cut up"? Cut up and offered in chunks - or cut up and grated - then offered. Yours will be the first EVER I have heard of not liking pumpkin...so I would have to consider Ivy weird...;-D

She is a picky girl. Anything new I ever give her she wont eat the first time. She eats everything but the new food. She ended up eating the pumpkin later when she came down and had all ready eaten everything else.
