So i have an herb garden the is just over growing, I been feeeding a little of it to the iguanas. I just wondering how healthy or unhealthy some of the stuff is. I been having trouble finding info on some of this stuff.
Basil, mint, oregano, parsley, lavender, wheat grass, par-cul.
i found one of these on a toxic plant list, but then again none of them are on a feeding chart. At most the amount of herbs is 5% of their intake, if that, i just been cutting a few leaves here and there and feeding it to them. They love it they know exactly where it is and go straight for it when there are out and about. I keep them away cause they like my Gingko tree to much as well. I know parsely is okay in small amounts but not sure about the rest, i assuming they are okay for flavor and variety. I thought wheat grass should be healthy for them in small amounts.

I tried the wheatgrass juice a couple of times for myself and have wondered about the benefits to myself and if it would be good for the iguanas. But so far have not researched it myself. As for the herbs, consider this we are over 12 times the size of a 12lb iguana so to use the relative amount of herbs for flavoring you would need to use 1/12 the amount that we would use for ourselves
