Hi my name is victor and i recently got back into reptiles. At the moment I have a green anole and a brown anole.
I would like to expand the hobby in the near future with either a fat tailed gecko or a rough green snake or maybe something else.
I am currently looking for a decent cricket dealer that sells pinhead or 1/8inch crickets. My local pet store closed down and now is a 30minute drive.

Welcome to the forum!! I purchase online through Reptile Food. They have all the sizes needed for any collection. They also stand behind bad shipments. I just had 3000 crix replaced at no charge for 3/8" size. I've never had an FTG - but I know several who do and they're very personable... I would say easier to care for, too since the food is along the same line as what you're already feeding. The rough green snakes don't get very big - but as long as your good with pinky availability - no problem... Would love to see some pics...

well i have done a little research and rough green snakes can be fed just off crickets(tho feeding frozen mice dosen't bother me I just think its realy cool to have a snake that eats insects).... I just realy like the way they look

I would say go for it then. We have them wild out here in TN. Cute little guys, but never wanted to keep one since it was wild. As far as I know the ones in pet stores are still WC, too. No breeding programs yet...

Hi and Welcome Theo2008!! Glad to have you join the forum, where abouts are you located? This will help to maybe find a feeder dealer closer to you If there is one I used to have garter snakes and I fed them crickets, worms and the loved fish. Even swim in shallow water of a tuperware container to get them. I used small minnows then small goldfish. Wonder if they would eat fish?

Hey theo, Yes I deffinatly know where that is. I am between Chatham and Windsor. The guy I deal with is GREAT his name is rob and he owns www.canadianfeeders.com And he's right in Windsor. You can buy all kinds of things from him. And his prices are reasonable also. He does offer delivery's but I'm not sure if he goes to blenhiem. But you can ask about it. You can buy large amounts of crickets, I buy a box of 500 and that lasts my one chameleon about a month. YOu just have to be sure to feed the crickets (potato's, carrots, raw oatmeal things like that) Just ask Rob and he will tell you how to do it properly Hope that helps
