Hey everyone ! Just wanted to introduce myself. My name is Dustin. I live in Oklahoma. I just bought a 2 mo. old Bearded Dragon today. I previously had an Eastern Collared Lizard (my first reptile) . I learned along the way and he eventually passed away in Feb 2004. I kept the tank and accessories just in case I decided to buy another one. I was in PetsMart on Friday buying my Min Pin a sweater for the winter to keep her warm when she goes out to use the bathroom and I saw a baby beardie. Well I thought about it last night and decided to do some research. I went through my accessories I had and I only needed substrate, crickets and of course the lizard. So I went to Alligator Alley in OKC and looked at what they had. I found one I liked that was a little cheaper and looked in better condition than the one at Petsmart. I learned not to trust Petsmart after buying my ECL there. I ended up spending way to much money listening to them and not having what he eventually needed. Anyway I now have a BD and my 4 year old daughter named him ZeZe. I asked her where she came up with that name and she said "it is a pretty name". He is in a 40 gallon tank with UVB and basking light. He has 2 branches to climb on and a hammock to lay on under the basking light. Sorry for the long post but now you know a little about my reptile history. I look forward to talking back and forth with you all.

Hello and Welcome Dustin and Family Wishing you luck with your BD but if you follow the guidlines in the caresheet that Patrick added to his post you should be fine and your Beardie should be doing great in a few months. If he is not already Healthy animals are so much easier to start out with if you keep them that way. Glad you found a healthy one. Keep us posted and NEVER be afraid to ask questions And yes we love pictures!

Hey people. I just registered today after trying to find a forum about iguanas or reptiles. I'm bored of not having an iguana so I came here.
