Well here is an addition to the family! Calisto has been here for almost a week now... She is approx. 5 years old was existing on a diet of celery leaves, grapes, lettuce, and dried iggy food...Her enclosure was a 40 gallon tank with some kind of pet bedding that just was all wrong...The only lighting she had was a heat lamp on top of the tank... First to go was the bad diet and the pet bedding (even though I was told it would last a month without being changed) (shock)
So now she is in a closet converted to be an enclosure.... It is about 8' tall 4' wide and about 3'deep! She seems very happy with the changes especially the collard greens that she has been eating.
Calisto enjoys being rubbed and held, hope that holds out with all the changes! Next step is the vet vist! So I just wanted to share her with everyone here... I am not sure at this point what I will choose to do either see if there is a good home for her or just keep her now that I have the closet enclosure all set up... I will let you know how it goes....I am hoping the mild temperment holds out even with all the improvements made to her lifestyle... I have been talking with Patrick and Denise about their little rescue who has developed quite the attitude now that she is getting the good lighting and diet she needed... So wish me luck and hope that doesn't happen with Calisto as well!
her closet enclosure inside the door where you cannot see are two built in steps and then I have some wire shelving I bought that is set up currently as ramps so that she can climb up and down from her shelf to her food and such...Hey she even used the water box her first day in there to go potty in!!
For those who don't know my igs have their own room it was the play room hence the painting on the walls!!
