Hey there everyone! Recently, my poor baby iggy Skittles died due to... well we don't know really how he died. He was only about a foot or so long head to tail. He was probably under a year old or around that area. If you're looking to give away an iggy between a small and medium size I'd be more than willing to take him/her!
Just some info: I live in Iowa No herp communities around here Decent sized enclosure with screen top wood for the iggy to climb on good feeding and cleaning habits good lighting reptile carpet for the floor of the enclosure and a water bowl for the iggy to drink from.

Hey there Raven, Did you make sure you did the procedure to the tank that I asked you to do last night? You need to wait at least a month and keep cleaning that enclosure to make sure the mites are ALL gone. Or the next lizard you get will just get them again. I hope you are prepaired to do the cleaning method I mentioned on yahoo then worry about getting another iguana I know you can handle it, just skittles couldn't take all the treatments and I think thats what killed him. So getting rid of the mites first will help you stay free of them.

I havn't been able to do the treatment yet because I can't drive and both my parents have been gone all day and as of right now it's too late in the day for them to take me anywhere. This weekend I'll definatly have it done though!

As much as I commend you for wanting to adopt an iguana who desperately needs a home...I think you need to wait. You need to be in a position where you don't need to depend on your parents for the igs care. It took you a very long time just to try and give your previous ig the right treatment...which is probably why it had died. Mites do kill.
Additionally - You do not need to start asking about getting another ig until your cage has been through it's treatment. You MUST be 100% prepared to take an ig in before you start asking. Trust me...there are plenty out there once you do start asking seriously.
Please be sure you can depend on being able to properly provide for another ig. You were not able to provide for the last one...so please think long and hard before getting another.
