Hey everyone,
I was surfing the classifieds online and I came across this beautiful horse that was 6 years old and mostly trained. I was so interested in this horse he was beautiful. he was 800$ (canadian) I kept following the add and as weeks went by his add was still the same. Then one day I happened to come across the ad again. He was down to 500$. I had been talking with a cousin of mine and he said he was thinking of getting a horse. I showed him the photo of this horse and he was extatic about seeing him. And it happened he was only 40 minutes away from us.
We had made plans to go look at the horse and my cousin fell and sprainged his ankle so he had asked if I would go see him. I thought for sure I wouldn't see the horse I had saw in that picture.
When I got there the people were very nice there names are Marty and Annie. I was really expecting to see a horse that had lost weight, or had some obvious problem. When they brought him in the stable he was as beautiful as he was in the picture. A light chestnut brown with a white star and two white socks. He is 15.1 hands high aswell. I couldn't see any ribs on this guy, his knees and that looked stable. I even got to ride him. Which was great! He western saddles, and has been in a parade or two. They haven't trail ridden him so I am going to try him out with that after he gets used to being around for a week or so. He does have one vice he is a weaver when he is in his stall. That means he moves from side to side ONLY when he is inside. Also he doesn't lke you looking at his teeth. I will try and break him of that habit. When on rides he doesn't like another horse right behind his bum, it scares him. We will also try and break him of that habit aswell.
So I went back home and talked to my cousin about it, we were supposed ot go and see him again. I was talking to him two days later and I said, "are we going to see him?" he said "I don't need to go he's already paid for" I was so shocked he must have loved him as much as I did.
So needless to say he comes home (to my cousins) on Thursday or Friday. We have been busy putting up a new fence because the old one wasn't up to my standards and building a second stall in the barn.
I will post some pictures of the beautiful guy. The day I pick him up the vet will be there, any questions any of you can think of to ask him?
