okay, so i got a couple questions... well, i found some different baby foods that i thoguht could be good for a treat for seign. one of them is just squash, nothing else, Seign loves it, its fine to feed him this right?? the other one, im not too sure about, but i think it is okay for a treat, i tried it out tonight, and i think Seigns rooting for it to be okay, he is obsessed over it! i felt bad only lettin him have a few nibbles because he was "loving!!" it! anyways, its Mango,Apples, and carrots all mixed. i know mango is a good fruit, and carrots are okay, occasionally, but what about apples? im not to sure about it. .........?

I read on a caresheet that apples are a great occaisonal treat. I believe this person is a vet. I tried it with ZeZe and he chowed on it. I am now mixing parsley greens and bearded dragon growth formula. I mix it in a bowl and spray it with water so it is moist and I came home yesterday and he had eated almost a whole bowl of it. As far as the apples, I held him in my hand and fed him small slivers. I'm a newbie here but I have read that. Here is the link to the caresheet. It has lots of ideas as far as different greens and fruits. www.biology.lsa.umich.edu/research/labs/ktosney/file/BDcare.html#Anchor-Supplements-35326

well, on the label of the baby fods i get it says no sugars, preservatives, or artificial flavors added. on the igredients, it just says squash and water, and the other one is water, carrots, appples, and mango... so i think it should be okay.

Hey there Ashley, Yes I have to agree you are doing a great job with Seign also. You have come a long way with baby iguana care The baby food sounds like it is ok to be using for a treat. Real squash made into baby food is just as easy to do. Just get the squash, peel it and scoop out the seeds. Put it in a food processor and add a bit of water. And voilia done and you KNOW its pure. You can also put in some variations for different days. One day green beans, another apple, another sweet potato. I once saw someone feed there ig too many carrots and the poor guy turned orange. He was way to young to be in breeding season. But when his diet got straightened out he turned back green. Took a long time but he did turn back. Good job with all the questions to, better safe than sorry for sure
